Amba Dalmia Scholarship 2024 in France for Women Students


The Amba Dalmia Scholarship, initiated in 2018 by Dr. Gun Nidhi Dalmia, is a distinguished endeavor aimed at commemorating the legacy of his daughter, Amba Dalmia. This scholarship endeavors to extend financial assistance to promising young women from India who harbor aspirations of pursuing higher education in France. The scholarship encompasses a diverse array of fields, including Music, Theatre, Sports, Arts, Sculpture, Cinema, Ballet, Opera, Painting, Photography, Oenology, and Culinary studies.


Scholarship Details – Funding and Benefits

The Amba Dalmia Scholarship for the 2024 cohort offers a substantial monthly stipend to cover living expenses in France, alleviating the financial burden on the scholars. Additionally, recipients benefit from comprehensive support provided by the Embassy of France in India, which includes assistance in securing affordable housing, access to social security benefits, and waivers for Campus France and visa fees. The duration of the scholarship extends up to one year or for the duration of the project/study program in France and is not renewable.


Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Amba Dalmia Scholarship, candidates must:


Be female students or professionals aged 18 or above.

Have completed high school or graduated from a recognized institution with a remarkable academic record.

Have applied to or secured admission in a higher education institution in France.

Candidates who have received scholarships from the French Government or Erasmus Mundus are not eligible.

While proficiency in French is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement.


Application Process

Prospective applicants should compile a comprehensive application including:


A detailed Curriculum Vitae.

A motivation letter expressing the candidate’s aspirations and how the scholarship will contribute to her educational journey.

Copies of the passport, passport photograph, and educational qualifications (high school and university transcripts and degrees).

Proof of unconditional acceptance into a French educational program or evidence of progress toward acceptance.

A No Objection Certificate from the current Indian institution if applicable.

Additional documents such as internship papers or a portfolio in CD/DVD or hard copy format where relevant.

All documents should be submitted online for the Amba Dalmia Scholarship in a single PDF file, arranged in the specified order and formatted correctly. Incomplete applications or failure to adhere to submission guidelines will result in disqualification.


Selection Process

The selection process entails a thorough review of the online application, followed by a telephonic or Skype interview if necessary.
