Benefits of the SDU 2025 Scholarship
The Danish Government Scholarship at SDU provides two types of financial support:
Full Tuition Fee Waiver and Grant: Covers the full tuition fee and includes a grant to assist with living expenses.
Partial Tuition Fee Waiver: Covers the tuition fee for one year (second and fourth semesters). Students are responsible for the first and third semesters. The waiver includes 30 ECTS per semester; additional courses are not covered.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Non-EU/EEA Citizenship: This scholarship is available exclusively to non-EU/EEA citizens.
- Enrollment in Specific Master’s Programs: Candidates must be enrolling in one of the following Master’s programs at SDU’s Sønderborg campus:
- MSc in Engineering – Mechatronics
- MSc in Engineering – Electronics
- MSc in Engineering – Mechanical Engineering
- English Proficiency: Demonstrate English proficiency equivalent to the Danish B level in English. This can be proven by:
- A secondary school leaving certificate with a minimum of 210 hours of English at the high school level.
- An IELTS score of at least 6.5.
- A TOEFL score of 575 (PBT), 230 (CBT), or 88 (iBT).

Review Admission Requirements: Ensure you have a relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Check the specific program requirements on the SDU website.
Prepare Required Documents:
- Application deposit fee receipt
- Official Bachelor’s transcripts and diploma in English, Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian, including grades and ECTS/units/credits
- Course descriptions for the courses listed on your transcripts
- Proof of English language proficiency
Interview Invitation: Qualified candidates will be invited to an online interview based on their Bachelor’s degree grade point average. You will receive an invitation via email once your application is processed. If you applied for multiple programs, the interview will focus on your highest priority.
