Responsibilities
During your internship, you will be responsible for various accounting-related tasks, including:
General Responsibilities:
- Responding to client and firm associate requests promptly and professionally.
- Using data analysis skills to discover useful information and provide recommendations.
- Identifying process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency.
Tax-Specific Responsibilities:
- Preparing individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns and projections.
- Using current tax and accounting software applications.
- Researching tax-related issues and financial reports.
- Conducting limited tax return interviews as needed.
Audit-Specific Responsibilities:
- Performing audit, review, and compliance testing procedures.
- Communicating with engagement leaders regarding important matters.
- Preparing financial statements, footnotes, and management reports.
- Developing technical competency with GAAP.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for this internship, you should meet the following requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (completion of corporate or individual taxation class is required).
- Demonstrating above-average competency in accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Working towards eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation (150 credits).
- Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data.
- Possessing strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to prioritize work, take initiative, and meet deadlines.
