Are you a student from a non-European country seeking scholarships for bachelor’s or master’s degrees? Applications are now open for the HAN University Scholarships in the Netherlands for the 2024-25 academic year. HAN University of Applied Sciences, one of the largest applied sciences universities in the Netherlands, offers these scholarships in collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science.
There are two types of scholarships available: the HAN NL Scholarship and the Honors Scholarship. Note that these are not fully funded scholarships, so you may need to cover additional expenses while studying in the Netherlands. Types of Scholarships at HAN University:
For Bachelor’s Degree Program:
1. HAN NL Scholarship (formerly HAN Holland Scholarship):
- Total of €12,500
- €2,500 for the first semester
- €2,500 for the second semester
- €2,500 per year for the next three years
2. Honors Scholarship:
- Awarded based on outstanding academic achievements in the first year
- €2,500 starting in the second year
- €2,500 each subsequent year of study
For Master’s Degree Program:
1. HAN NL Scholarship:
- €2,500 for the first semester
- €2,500 for the second semester
2. Honors Scholarship:
- One-time payment of €2,500 in the second semester
Scholarship Requirements:
- You are not a citizen of the EU/EEA.
- You do not have a degree from an educational institution in the Netherlands.
- You must have applied and been accepted into a full-time English-taught degree program at HAN.
- Proof of English language proficiency:
- IELTS: 6.5
- TOEFL iBT: at least 90
- Cambridge Certificate (CAE or CPE)
Application Process:
1. Apply for the degree program at HAN University and secure acceptance.
2. Prepare your scholarship application:
- Motivation letter
- Short video (max. 3 minutes)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
3. Submit your application. For the February 2025 intake, the deadline is October 19, 2024.
4. Receive the scholarship result.
5. Accept the offer.
