Arqus European University Talent Scholarships 2024


 The Arqus Talent Scholarship for the 2024 cohort presents a prestigious opportunity tailored to attract exceptional international students aspiring to pursue Master’s or Doctoral studies within the Arqus European University Alliance. This scholarship is dedicated to fostering academic mobility and facilitating intercultural exchange among its consortium of universities.


Key Features of the Scholarship:

1. Partner Universities:

Eligible candidates can embark on their academic journey at one of the esteemed Arqus partner universities, including Granada, Graz, Leipzig, Lyon 1, Maynooth, Minho, Padua, Vilnius, and Wroclaw.


2. Financial Support:

The scholarship provides a generous monthly subsistence allowance of €1,400, covering living expenses, medical insurance, and necessary materials. Moreover, tuition fees at the host university are fully covered.


3. Special Needs Fund:

An additional monthly stipend of €250 is allocated to support students facing challenges or with limited opportunities, such as refugees, asylum seekers, individuals with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or caregiving responsibilities.


4. Mobility Requirement:

A distinctive aspect of the Arqus Talent Scholarship entails a mandatory mobility period at a second Arqus partner university. This enriching experience aims to broaden students' educational and cultural perspectives.


Application Requirements:

To apply, candidates must:

- Provide confirmation of application or selection for a Master’s or Doctoral program at an Arqus university.

- Submit a motivation statement, research proposal (for doctoral applicants), academic transcripts, and a comprehensive CV.

- Demonstrate language proficiency at a minimum B2 level or higher.


Selection Criteria:

Priority is given to:

- Applicants not previously affiliated with the chosen Arqus university.

- Those planning multiple or extended mobility periods.

- Students facing limited opportunities.


Application Process and Deadlines:

The application process involves submitting the requisite documents and a motivation statement online. The next application period for Master’s students spans from April 2, 2024, to June 30, 2024, with a minimum of 8 scholarships available during this call.


Successful candidates are expected to actively participate in Arqus activities and serve as ambassadors for the alliance. Scholarships are disbursed semi-annually, contingent upon academic performance and progress.
