The Global Research Immersion Program for Young Scientists (GripS) 2024 provides an extraordinary opportunity for ambitious undergraduate students worldwide. This fully funded summer research program, hosted by four esteemed universities in China's Yangtze River Delta region—Zhejiang University, University of Science and Technology of China, Fudan University, and Nanjing University—aims to cultivate a vibrant scientific community.
GripS 2024 Program Overview
Lasting four to eight weeks from June to August, GripS offers an immersive research experience for approximately 200 exceptionally talented undergraduates. Participants will engage in cutting-edge research, guided by distinguished mentors at one of the four host universities. The program goes beyond the laboratory, including industry visits, excursions in the scenic Yangtze River Delta, Chinese cultural activities, and insightful lectures by leading academicians.
Who Can Apply for GripS 2024 in China?
To be eligible for the GripS 2024 summer program, applicants must meet the following criteria for the 2024 batch:
- Full-time registered undergraduates.
- Completion of at least two years of study in a related discipline is preferred.
- A CGPA of ‘B’ or above is required.
- For non-native English speakers: TOEFL iBT 85 or IELTS (Ac) 6.0 minimum score.
How to Apply for Chinese GripS Summer Projects?
Stage 1: Preparation
1. Find a Principal Investigator (PI): Explore available projects [here](link) and contact PIs directly.
2. Prepare Application Materials: Gather all necessary documents and information.
3. Choose PIs: Select up to two PIs from the host universities; admission will be granted to only one project.
4. Finalize Your Application: Applications can be submitted only once and cannot be altered post-submission.
