UTRIP, which stands for the University of Tokyo Research Internship Program, is a Fully Funded Summer Internship available to undergraduate (Bachelor or integrated Bachelor’s/Master) degree students. Open to all foreign nationalities, the UTRIP Summer Internship is an excellent opportunity to explore research at the University of Tokyo. Japanese citizens are not eligible to apply. The internship will run from June 26, 2024, to August 6, 2024, lasting approximately 40 days. The program includes off-campus activities, a field trip to a historical or natural site in Japan, and social and cultural events to promote a better understanding of Japanese culture. Eligibility Criteria:
- Non-Japanese citizenship.
- Completion of at least one full year of a bachelor’s
degree program.
- One semester or quarter left after completing the
internship, to be completed after returning.
- Eligibility for students in science, engineering, and

- English Language Proof through TOEFL, IELTS, or students
with eight years of continuous English-medium education.
