United Nations Young Professionals Program 2023 (UN YPP)

 


What is the United Nations YPP (UN YPP)?

In simple words, the UN YPP happens every year in which they select new applicants from different countries for their entry-level positions. The Job is with United Nations Secretariat and its department.

It is estimated that the United Nations YPP acceptance rate is around 100 individuals.

Benefits and Package

  • Base Salary: 37,000-80,000 USD (for entry-level professionals (P1- P2- P3)

Areas of UN YPP 2023

For 2023 the UN YPP will focus os:

  • Economic Affairs
    • Social & Behavioural Science, Mathematics & Statistics, Business & Administration, Environmental Protection, Agriculture, Forestry & Fishery.
  • Information Systems & Technology
    • Mathematics & Statistics, Engineering & Engineering, Trades, Business & Administration, Physical Sciences.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least a 3-year equivalent degree related to the above areas.
  • 32 years of age or younger (born on or after 1 Jan. 1991)
  • Fluency in English or French
  • Work experience is not required.

Participating Countries in 2023 for the UN YPP

Participants from these countries can apply:

Afghanistan, Andorra, Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahrain, Belize, Brunei Darussalam, Cabo Verde, Central African Republic, China, Comoros, Cuba, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Dominica, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Grenada, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Israel, Japan, Kiribati, Kuwait.

Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Liberia, Libya, Liechtenstein, Malta, Marshall Islands, Micronesia (Federated States of), Monaco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nauru, Norway, Oman, Palau, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Qatar, Republic of Korea.

Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, San Marino, São Tomé and Príncipe, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, South Sudan, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Vanuatu.

Note: Each year UN Adds different countries for the YPP Program.

Deadline

The last date to apply for the United Nations Young Professionals Program 2023 (UN YPP) is 29th June 2023.

Here is a rough timeline:

  • June: Application Opens.
  • August: Screening
  • September: Assessment Process
  • May: Interview Results
