How the Program Works:
- Virtual Assessment (1 month): The program begins with an intensive community mapping and needs assessment, where participants gain the tools to assess the challenges in their community.
- In-Person Experience (10 days): In July 2025, participants will travel to the USA for 10 days, arriving with a specific issue in their community they want to tackle.
- Virtual Project Implementation: After returning home, participants will work to implement their ideas and solutions within their communities.
Fellowship Locations:
The 2025 Young Leaders Fellowship will take place in New York, New York, and Burlington, Vermont, from July 15 – July 24, 2025.
Financial Benefits:
The fellowship is fully funded and includes:
- International economy airfare for international participants
- Domestic economy flights for U.S. participants
- Housing and accommodations (provided by New York University in New York and Champlain College in Vermont)
- Three meals per day
- Round-trip travel between New York and Vermont
- Public transportation to/from JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark airports
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to young leaders worldwide
- Applicants can come from any field or discipline
- Must identify a community issue in education, health, or economic security
- Must be between 18-26 years old at the start of the program (June 1, 2025)
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Eligible for the necessary visa and travel documentation
